Interdisciplinary Study Department

At the Institute of Inflammation Medicine we conduct clinical studies on various chronic inflammatory diseases. Within the framework of the Cluster of Excellence, through cooperation with various other institutions such as the Clinic for Rheumatology or the Institute for Nutritional Medicine and last but not least the Clinic for Dermatology, Allergology and Venerology, we offer our patients the most modern therapy options.

In addition, we research important future topics such as "Precision health/medicine", for example by looking for biomarkers that enable us to optimize the course of treatment, thereby reducing costs and improving the quality of life of our patients.

Over the last five years, the study center has experienced steady growth. Today, we are conducting about 30 studies in different inflammatory indications such as psoriasis, neurodermatitis, prurigo nodularis, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriatic arthritis, lupus nephritis, rosacea and others.
